Can a whammy bar be installed on an Ibanez Art 100?

Can I have a whammy bar installed on my Ibanez Art 100, and if so, how do I go about doing that, and how much would this probably cost?

I suggest putting a Kahler which is one of the good trem on the market.

It reguires a little routing and best done by a professional if you are not kken on routing. The Kahlers are the easiest to install, whether flat or curved top. It comes with a template which is very precise and you just need to cut inside the template. All it needs is a 1″ deep cavity and no need to touch the back whatsoever. Then screw in the 4 screws and you are set.
Same for the top locking mechanism. NO routing here and installs in 15 minute.

As in mounting tremolo bridges, there are two key words to remember when mounting a tremolo; alignment and alignment. The principles are the same for installing any bridge really. Going down to the left side of the neck first, measure from the leading edge of the fingerboard nut to the leading edge of the 12th fret. Then, measure the exact same distance from the leading edge of the12th fret to the spot it ends at. Mark the spot with a pencil. Repeat this for the right side of the neck.
Now, cross the dots with a line. This is your intonation line. You can put the edge of a masking tape right on theline.

The bigsby is another option which requires no bridge, no routing and takes 30 min. to install.

You need the B11 model since your guitar is arched.

The cost of the kahler trem or the Bigsby, is around $150 approx. I suggest the Kahler for the pirce. It is dead accurate and fully adjustable from intonation, to single string height.
